Programs
- Buildingthe eco-friendly libraries
- Supplying recommended books for children
- Setting up the computerized-book-organizing system for the libraries
- Providing book-mentoring programs to the children by sisterhood relationships withuniversity student volunteers and employees and customers of Shinhan Card
- Running fundraising campaigns for building libraries targeting customers of Shinhan Card through Shinhan Card Website
Project effects
- Improved the learning environment of the youth through building more than 334 eco-friendly libraries proving safe, cleaning reading environments and classroom space for children in numerous areas of the country.
- Supplied recommended children’s books, establish computerized-book-organizing systems for the libraries, and provided book-mentoring programs through our sister relationships with 745 college age mentors.
- Through this project, 13,448 young people had reading spaces and book and developed their creativity.
- Engaged employees and college students in community development as volunteers.
- Created more and more opportunities of talent donations and promote pro bono cultures in Korea.
